The Nonprofit Theory Revisited
Report
This report draws attention to nonprofits with core focus on the ones that are operating in the business sector. It sheds light on nonprofitsâ roles, how they differ from forprofits and public firms, alternative aims to profit-maximization and alternative disciplinary mechanisms to owner control. At the beginning, the organizational landscaped is mapped and an introduction to nonprofit history is provided. Next, the central approaches to nonprofits are treated, both on the demand side and the supply side. Thereafter, Interior incentives are discussed both in a behavioral and non-behavioral framework, before financial sources and potential financial rigidity are treated in the end. Contributions to the literature include formal integration of green worker theory, discussion of integration of green consumer theory, introduction of âthe game of internal controlâ in context of interior contractual problems and an elaboration about nonprofitsâ financial flexibility challenges.
